Baker County searchers to join effort to find Boise woman

ONTARIO — Four members of the Baker County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team will participate in the search for a Boise woman whose car was found June 30 in a remote part of Malheur County south of Ontario.

Baker County Sheriff Travis Ash said the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office had requested assistance from other counties in the area in the search for Gwen Brunelle. Ash said the Baker County searchers will participate in the search starting Thursday, July 6.

Brunelle, 27, left Boise on June 26 and was last seen the following day at a gas station in Jordan Valley.

Searchers found Brunelle’s car on June 30 near Succor Creek Road south of Adrian.

Search and rescue crews were in the field all day Sunday, July 2.
