Election 2022: Ukiah elects two city council members

UKIAH — Two seats were filled on the city council in Ukiah on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022. New members include Robert Gasser, who will be filling Position 2, and Linda E. Kerr, who will be taking Position 4.
Gasser secured the council seat with 93.3% of the people’s vote, with the remaining ballots referring to write-in candidates, totaling to 56 votes in his name.
In Position 4, Kerr picked up 46 votes from the Ukiah community, totaling to 61.3% of a popular vote, moving her forward to the city council bench. Kerr had one opponent in her campaign for the council, Robert Johnson, who picked up the remaining 37.3% of the people’s votes.
