Umatilla County lifts nonagricultural burn ban

UMATILLA COUNTY — The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners has lifted the temporary ban on nonagricultural burning in the county.
The board made the decision to end the at its meeting Wednesday, Oct. 5.

The lifting of the burn ban excludes lands in Umatilla County under the jurisdiction of the state of Oregon, the United States government, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and areas in rural fire districts.
Burn day protocols remain in effect and smoke management and burn permit holders are required to check burn day status for agricultural and residential burning.
