PENDLETON — A section of Interstate 84 between Pendleton and La Grande closed on Wednesday, Nov. 3, due to “hazardous driving conditions” created by thick fog and a crash that occurred near milepost 220.

The Oregon Department of Transportation announced the closure in a press release around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3. ODOT closed the area between exit 265 near La Grande and exit 216 about six miles east of Pendleton, the press release said.

ODOT said the interstate would reopen when “wreck is removed and conditions improve.”

At around 1:45 p.m. that afternoon, ODOT reopened the interstate.
