Hermiston man with dementia found

HERMISTON — Hermiston police and locals were successful Monday, Aug. 20, in finding a missing man who suffers from advanced dementia.
Hermiston police on its Facebook page reported Richard Bondurant, 85, went missing after he walked away from his home Monday, Aug. 30. His daughter, Rose Neyman, said her father was last seen at about 2:50 a.m. She said security cameras videoed him at Highland Mini Storage, 1330 W. Highland Ave., and then at the nearby Gotta Stop Mini Mart.
Police reported Bondurant was last seen “possibly wearing a grey shirt, blue/green pajama bottoms and brown slippers” and he has been entered into state and national law enforcement databases as a missing person.
Neyman in the afternoon reported her was found alive and was going to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.
She said the plan was for him to move next week into Guardian Angel Homes, a Hermiston assisted living facility.
