HERMISTON — Oregon Gov Kate Brown has directed the distribution of approximately 1 million KN95 masks and 5,000 gallons of hand sanitizer for farmworkers and agricultural producers.

This critical personal protection equipment (PPE) is available at no cost to the agricultural community to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Limited supplies will be provided at each site until supplies are fully distributed.

The Oregon Department of Agriculture, 30588 Feedville Road, Hermiston, will serve as the distribution site for Morrow, Umatilla, Sherman and Gillam counties Thursday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The critical PPE distribution effort is collaboration between Oregon Governor Kate Brown, Oregon Department of Agricultural, Oregon State University Extension, Oregon Emergency Management, Oregon National Guard, and county partners.
