WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Officials with the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health reported on Wednesday evening another new confirmed positive test result for the coronavirus. That brings the county’s total to eight, with two people listed as recovered.

Health officials have said the seven cases before this were all connected to community spread or exposure outside Walla Walla County.

In this most recent positive finding, the person is a household member of a previously identified case in College Place, said Meghan DeBolt, director of Department of Community Health.

DeBolt said her office expects to see continued spread of coronavirus to family members and within households.

The number of negative tests stood at 435 as of Thursday morning; officials are no longer releasing total tests pending.
