Carol L. Correa Echo November 13, 1938 – September 26, 2018

Carol L. Correa of Echo, Oregon was born on November 13, 1938, in Portland, Oregon, to parents Robert and Neoam Ross Loop. She passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 26, 2018, at the age of 79.

Carol was raised in Netarts, Oregon, and graduated from Tillamook High School in 1956. She moved to Stanfield, Oregon, in 1957 where she met her future husband David L. Correa. They were united in marriage on April 19, 1958, in Hermiston, Oregon. They made their home and raised their three children in Echo, Oregon.

Carol went to work for Dr. Norman “Doc” Clark DDS, Hermiston, Oregon, in July of 1967 as his chairside assistant. She retired in 2002 after 35 years of service.

Carol enjoyed spending time at their mountain cabin watching and feeding the wildlife. She enjoyed watching her children participate in sporting events. She never missed a game. Her favorite sporting event was watching the Little League World Series. She couldn’t wait for August to come around every year. Carol loved the companionship of her dogs and kitties.

Carol’s home and cabin was always open to family and friends. It was always filled with warmth and fun and plenty of great food. Carol truly enjoyed making people happy. Her life was spent putting the needs of her family and friends first. She was a gift to her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David L. Correa of Echo, Ore.; children Kari (Brent) Yates of Dayton, Ore., Jeff (Kathi) Correa of Echo, Ore., and Shelli Correa of Mt. Vernon, Ore.; mother-in-law Cecilia Correa of Echo, Ore.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Cathey Correa of Echo, Ore.; very special family friend Anita Dorn of Echo, Ore.; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Fran Caylor, brother Bob Loop and other family members.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Hodgen Distributing’s banquet room, 4340 Westgate, Pendleton, Oregon.
