A 50th anniversary will be celebrated by Andy and Carrie Rodda of Pendleton, who were married Sept. 10, 1968, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The couple have lived in Pendleton for 33 years, moving from Selah, Wash. During the 1968 Pendleton Round-Up, a honeymoon teepee was erected for the pair by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Simonton (Andy’s sister and her husband) when the newlyweds arrived to meet Carrie’s new in-laws, but the pair decided the special accommodations were a bit too breezy for them and declined graciously.

Andy and Carrie have one daughter, Andrea Morgan, two grandchildren, Rachelle and MacKenzie Parker, and a great-grandchild, Ayden Parker.
