Jessica Peterson and Wiley Smith of Pilot Rock are announcing their engagement.

Jessica is the daughter of Teena Shilling and Charlie Hughes of Dallas, Ore., and Dennis Peterson of Reno, Nev. She works as a residential associate at Columbia Care Services in Pendleton.

Wiley is the son of Susan Smith and Gary Baldwin and Mark and Debbie Smith, all of La Grande. He is a roofer with Royal Crown Builders in Pendleton.

The couple will exchange vows Sept. 9, 2018, at White Eagle Grange south of Pendleton.
