8:50 a.m. – The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a female who stated someone threw her out of her vehicle at Country Lane and Powerline Road, Hermiston. Law enforcement did not find her.

9:26 a.m. – Law enforcement in Morrow County responded to Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store, 78665 Tower Road, Boardman, on a report of a female claiming someone dragged her from her vehicle and she doesn’t feel safe. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies and Boardman police tried to find the female, and eventually referred the case to another agency.

9:49 a.m. – The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report of possible dog neglect on Northeast Court Street, Heppner.

11:54 a.m. – A caller reported possible poaching of a spike elk about a mile or so up Blake Ranch Road from Willow Creek Road, Heppner. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office relayed the information to Oregon State Police.

11:55 a.m. – A caller asked the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to send someone to check on the welfare and care of a mentally disabled female at a home Irrigon because she may be the victim of neglect.

1:35 p.m. – A Heppner resident on Black Mountain Lane reported the theft of her tractor crawler.

4:01 p.m. – People spray-painted the Interstate 84 overpass near milepost 238 by the railroad tracks at Meacham, a caller reported.

5:01 p.m. – Staff at The Saddle Restaurant and Lounge, 2220 S.E. Court Ave., Pendleton, called for police to deal with an intoxicated man who refused to leave the establishment.

12:11 a.m. – A Hermiston resident on Southeast Eighth Place told police the upstairs neighbors were too loud, so he pounds on the ceiling and they just pound back. The caller told police he wants them to quiet down.

4:34 a.m. – Two people suffered injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash south of Highway 730 and Paterson Ferry Road. Ambulances took two people to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.

4:24 p.m. – Railroad workers reported seven or eight bulls on or near tracks on the north side on Interstate 84 about two miles east of Tower Road, Boardman. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office contacted several possible owners of the bulls, and one company took care of them.

9:01 p.m. – Pendleton police received a report of four to five juveniles arguing and causing a disturbance on the Pendleton River Parkway at Southeast Sixth Street.

5:22 a.m. – A Milton-Freewater man reported a burglary at his home on the 1000 block of North Elizabeth Street.

2:27 p.m. – A man reported he was driving on Baseline Road near Echo when a GMC Sierra pickup and white Mazda passenger car passed him on double yellow lines. Two males were in the pickup and a female was in the car. He said the pickup almost hit another car head-on, but the other driver left the road to avoid the crash, and the Mazda came close to hitting that car as well.

The caller said he followed the pair of vehicles to the Space Age Fuel, 77522 Highway 207, Hermiston, where he took down their license plate numbers. He added the female “has an attitude” when she realized what he was doing.

5:13 p.m. – A resident of Green Acres RV Park, 80542 Paterson Ferry Road, Irrigon, reported someone broke into his trailer at the far southwest corner.

6:09 p.m. – The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of people fighting on Southeast Eighth Street, Irrigon.

6:34 p.m. – A caller in Umatilla told police he yelled at a speeding driver of a Volvo wagon to slow down on Sixth Street, and the driver pulled out a gun. Police did not find the suspect.

7:02 p.m. – Firewood falling from a northbound pickup to Highway 11 near milepost 34 damaged vehicles over the span of about an hour. Oregon State Police reported a log caused a flat tire to a Toyota Tacoma, and a vehicle kicked up another piece that struck the rear of a Buick Enclave. But a Ford Explorer and Toyota Camry were not drivable after hitting larger logs.

•Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tamara Dove Bergstrom, 32, of S.E. 10th St., Apt. 96, Hermiston, for second-degree theft and identity theft.

•Hermiston police arrested Sydney Jennifer James, 26, of Pendleton, for injury hit and run. Court records show the arrest stemmed from a Nov. 16 crash in which two people suffered injuries.

•Pendleton police arrested Cassandra Darlene Ross, 27, of 1908 S.W. Goodwin Ave., Pendleton, for credit card fraud, second-degree theft and on a felony probation violation.

•Umatilla Tribal Police arrested Zachary David Chase, 25, no address provided, for domestic abuse.

•Oregon State Police arrested Dawn Renee Phillips, 57, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, for driving under the influence of intoxicants

•Umatilla police shortly after 9:03 p.m. responded to the Pomono Drive for a man stealing a car. Police arrested Kain Claustro-Chavez, 24, of Umatilla, for unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Saturday

•Oregon State Police arrested Johnny Diaz, 27, of Milton-Freewater, for DUII. The trooper also cited him for driving uninsured and refusing to take an alcohol breath test.

•Morrow County Sheriff’s Office arrested Alejandro Flores Escalera, 21, of 525 Juniper Drive, No. 3, Boardman, for identity theft. Circuit Court records show he has a criminal case pending in Morrow County for felony eluding and related charges.

•A Morrow County sheriff’s deputy at 11:55 p.m. stopped a vehicle on the 74600 block of Kangaroo Court Lane, Irrigon, for failure to stop. The driver turned out to be local offender Joseph Lee Swope, 36, of 855 S.E. Utah St., Irrigon. The deputy arrested Swope on a Umatilla County warrant for felon in possession of a restricted weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. The deputy also arrested Swope on new charges stemming from the traffic stop of felony attempt to flee and unauthorized use of a vehicle and booked him into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton.

Circuit court records show Swope has criminal cases in Umatilla and Morrow counties going back to 2001.

•Pendleton police arrested Derek Ryan Miller, 35, of 217 S.W. Seventh St., Pendleton, for violating probation, menacing, felony fourth-degree assault and first-degree kidnapping.
