The Zac Brown Band performs at the Pendleton Whisky Music Festival on Saturday at the Round-Up Grounds.

PENDLETON — Pendleton Whisky Music Fest is just over a week away — and some tickets remain available.

In its second year, the event features headliner Maroon 5, along with opening acts MAGIC!, Runaway June and Little McKay Creek Band, a local group. The gates open Saturday, July 15 at 4:30 p.m. at the Pendleton Round-Up Stadium. A few random premium arena seats are available for $175 and grandstand seats are $70. Also, some camping reservations are still being taken.

A free kickoff party is Friday, July 14 from 7-11 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Pendleton. It features DJ Sovern-T, who also will DJ between sets at Whisky Fest concert, and The FrogHollow Band, a Walla Walla band that performs original songs and country covers.
