Priceless regalia stolen in Pendleton

- Irreplaceable American Indian regalia and artifacts were recently stolen from a storage unit in the 200 block of Southeast Frazier Avenue, Pendleton. Most of the items are well over a century old and are of significant cultural or historical value to the victim's family and tribe.
Numerous irreplaceable American Indian regalia and artifacts were stolen this week from a Pendleton storage unit.
According to Pendleton Police, the department was made aware of the theft Wednesday. Items missing from the storage units include beaded buckskin dresses, war shirts, vests, martingales, horse trappings, leggings, beaded purses, moccasins, headbands, chokers and an eagle feather fan.
According to police, most of the items are well over a century old, are of significant cultural and historical value and cannot be replaced or duplicated.
