Pendleton police chief Stuart Roberts identified the three sites of last week’s drug raids in Pendleton, Stanfield and Milton-Freewater, as well as everyone arrested.

The local Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team headed up the three busts with help from local and state police. Roberts, who chairs the team’s board, said last week each location sold drugs and operated independently of one another.

The first raid was Tuesday at 3718 N.E. Riverside Ave., Pendleton, Roberts reported in a written statement, where police arrested Eddie Duane Walker, 53, and Karen Alice Nevins, 69, for possession and delivery of methamphetamine and heroin. Police also seized scales, packaging material and money from the home.

Raid No. 2 was Wednesday at 122 S.E. Third Ave., Milton-Freewater. Police again found evidence of drug trafficking and made 10 arrests total at the site, including the following on frequenting a place where controlled substances are used, a misdemeanor, and possession of methamphetamine, a felony: Gregorio Diaz, 20; Nikole Rae Patterson, 23; and Cristina Rodriguez, 30. Terry Diaz, 27, and Salvador Duran Saucedo Jr., 27, face those charges as well as delivery of meth, also a felony.

The other five suspects at this time only face the misdemeanor frequenting charge.

Police also found a large amount of stolen property within the residence as well as several firearms, according to Roberts, and BENT and Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office are investigating that.

The sweep wrapped up Thursday at 435 N. Sloan St., Stanfield, where police arrested Arnoldo Angel Almonte, 35, and Shelby Anne Tucker, 25, for possession and distribution of methamphetamine.

Roberts stated the busts were the results of investigations lasting three to six months involving multiple people in the illegal drug trade in Umatilla County.

Some suspects have previous arrests for drugs or other crimes, according to court records. The drug case now goes to the district attorney’s office for prosecution.
