Alexis Morrison has been a steady presence in the Pendleton Buckaroos lineup over the past four years, helping the team to a state title in 2014 and coming close to a repeat in 2015.

As a senior, the future Portland State Viking has proved to be an even bigger force for the Buckaroos this season, smashing four home runs through the teams’ first nine games. She hit two of those home runs on Mar. 22 during a doubleheader at the Putnam Spring Break Bash, as well as ripping three doubles to help her team go 3-1 in the tournament.

For those efforts, Morrison has been selected as the East Oregonian’s Athlete of the Week.
