German actor Max Schreck played the lead role as Count Orlok in the 1922 film “Nosferatu.”

A reprisal of last year’s sold-out performance of “Nosferatu” returns just in time for Halloween.

Oregon East Symphony conductor and musical director Beau Benson composed the music, which is set to the silent German horror film “Nosferatu.” The film and live orchestral accompaniment event is Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Vert Auditorium, 480 S.W. Dorion Ave., Pendleton. The film was the first screen adaptation of the novel “Dracula.”

A “Nosferatu” co-sponsor, the Eastern Oregon Film Festival, is providing a projector, projectionist and screen for the event.

The symphony will be joined by the Pendleton High School orchestra and the A Sharp Players, the symphony’s intermediate level preparatory orchestra. Symphony guest conductor and A Sharps conductor Bruce Walker will conduct.

Also, the symphony will perform “In The Hall Of The Mountain King” from Edvard Grieg’s “Peer Gynt Suite.”

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors or $45 for a family. They are available in Pendleton at Armchair Books, 39 S.W. Dorion Ave., the symphony office, 345 S.W. Fourth St., and at the door.
