PENDLETON — Eastern Oregon Gymnastics is off to a strong start two competitions into its season.

The Pendleton-based club already has three athletes qualified for the Oregon State Gymnastics Championships later this year.

Savannah Patrick, Riley Kennedy and Shaelynn Silva have proven they belong in the upper tier of their competition levels and have met the state qualifying criteria, but coach Gary Stanner said all of the athletes have been reaching or exceeding their goals in the first two meets.

Patrick, Kennedy and Rebecca Bower recently were promoted to the advanced USAG Level 7 of competition due to their high marks.
