Bonnie Louone (Beier) Goodin-Largent (73) of Pendleton, Oregon, crossed over on May 6, 2015.
Her passing was a unique spiritual experience that will be forever remembered. Most importantly, she was embraced by angels that guided her through the light.
Bonnie was born on May 1, 1942, in Albany, Oregon, to Earl and Ellen Beier. She spent her early years in Albany, until the family moved to Pendleton when she was 7. Bonnie graduated from Pendleton High School in 1960, proudly being crowned “Homecoming Queen.”
Shortly after high school, she married Richard Goodin. In 1968, they moved to Seattle where Bonnie worked for many years as a CAN at Valley General Hospital in the oncology unit. Bonnie also spent many years working in skilled nursing and caring for the elderly.
Bonnie was known well for her entertaining personality and ability to “let you know what she thought”; you were always guaranteed that you would never be bored when she was present. Bonnie enjoyed doing crafts, toll painting, and collecting restaurant menus and handmade dolls.
Bonnie was truly inspired by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; later in her years they became the focus of her life. Every child had to have a gift for birthdays and holidays, whether it be a $1 bill or $10 bill in a card, it was important to her.
Bonnie later married Harold Timothy Largent from Pendleton, where they lived until his passing in 2011. She then relocated to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to family. Bonnie was always in control of her life, even in the last stages of her kidney disease, and finally decided her battle was too much to conquer. There will always be an empty chair at the table for Bonnie and will be in our hearts for eternity.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother Ellen McCutchen, her husband “Tim” Largent, and her grandmother, Mary Ackerman.
She is survived by her father, Earl Beier of Eugene, Oregon; son Kirk of Coeur d’Alene; stepdaughter Kim Wiggins of Anchorage, Alaska; grandsons Tyler and Tad of Coeur d’Alene; and four great-grandchildren: Maddison, Annabelle, Jack and Isabella.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Brookdale/Emeritus Assisted Living, LifeCare of Coeur d’Alene, and River City Hospice for their care and compassion they gave Bonnie and her family, you are truly appreciated.
Bonnie will be laid to rest on June 13, 2015, in Pendleton, Oregon, and a Celebration of Life BBQ will be held this summer; contact son Kirk for details: hair63@gmail.com
Memorial contributions can be made to River City Hospice to assist others with care needs who are battling kidney disease.
