HERMISTON — In celebration of Arbor Day, free trees will be given away to all who are willing to plant them.

Sponsored by the Hermiston Rotary Club, the event is Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. in the parking lot at Smitty’s Ace Hardware, 1845 N. First St., Hermiston. The event will continue until all trees are given away. Trees available include red maple, river birch, green ash and Peking lilac and a conifer.
