Sage Riders plan arena clean-up

UMATILLA — The Umatilla Sage Riders are hosting an arena work day.

Those attending are asked to bring shovels, rakes, pitchforks, matches and saws Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the arena, 81907 N. Highway 395, Umatilla. Participants may bring their horses, as some are planning on riding after the clean-up effort. In addition, chili will be available and a bonfire.

In other Sage Rider news, tryouts for the royal court end in February. Those between 12-17 who are interested in trying out for the court, call Bonnie Hamlin at 541-571-6606.

Established in 1948, Umatilla Sage Riders promotes horseback riding as a sport and shares information about horsemanship, riding activities and proper care and treatment of horses
