Volunteers needed for Day of Service

PENDLETON The public is invited to help with service projects around Pendleton.
Coordinated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Day of Service is Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are asked to check-in for assignments in the parking lot at Pendleton High School, 1800 N.W. Carden Ave. All ages are welcome. Childcare is provided for young children who are toilet trained beginning with check-in at 7:30 a.m. at the church, 609 N.W. 12th St., Pendleton.
There are various jobs planned to enhance the community with projects around town. Anyone who would like to help is welcome, even if they can only come for an hour or two. Bring work gloves and yard tools, if available. Lunch will be served to all volunteers afterwards at Roy Raley Park, 1205 S.W. Court Ave., Pendleton. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.
