Created by Wildhorse Sports Bar bartender Phil Goland, the winning drink was a combination of Pendleton Whisky, Amaretto, Squirt, sour mix and muddled lemons.
Held April 4 in the Let er Buck Room, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Hall of Fame.
Pendleton Whiskys smooth taste and rich, complex flavor lends itself to a variety of cocktails, but the concoctions these local establishments created were outstanding, said Ronald R. Dodge, president and CEO for Hood River Distillers.
The Battle of the Bars is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Hall of Fame. Tiah DeGrofft, vice president for the Hall of Fame, said the participating bars and community support helps make the event the Hall of Fames largest fundraiser. She also expressed appreciation to the Pendleton Round-Up Association, the Happy Canyon Company and Let er Buck Room director Mike Ledbetter.
