Oregon county unemployment figures were released Monday for the month of February. Fourteen counties had rates at, or below the statewide average of 6.9 percent.

Benton County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate at 5.3 percent. Harney County had the highest at 11.6 percent. That’s according to the Oregon Employment Department.

The latest figures reflect a rise in employment throughout the state over the last year.

Central Oregon is seeing the largest job gains.
