A car crashed through an empty Hermiston yoga studio Wednesday afternoon after the driver appeared to pass out at the wheel.
Danette Main, 48, was making a left turn from 4th Street onto Main Street when she said she believed she passed out before ramming into Achieve Yoga and Fitness Studio. Main told Hermiston police she had been feeling dizzy and couldnt remember crashing into the building.
No one was in the yoga studio when Main hit the building at around 12:30 p.m.
Brett Connor, who works at nearby Sherrell Chevrolet, said he heard a loud crash and ran to the studio.
The first to arrive on the scene, Connor said he found a disoriented Main inside the vehicle.
I was worried because I saw a carseat in the back seat, but luckily she was the only person in the car, he said.
Main had a handicap parking permit in her car, which she told police was for a woman she cares for.
Aside from feeling light-headed, Main appeared to have minimal injuries and was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center for evaluation.
