Ermin Godinez, of Hermiston, Ore., was born on January 21, 1953, in Gering, Nebraska, to parents James Godinez and Lois Lopez Godinez. He died on November 22, 2012, at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Washington, at the age of 59 years.

Ermin was raised and attended school in Redmond, Oregon. He later lived in Portland, Oregon, and Lake Tahoe, California, before moving to Hermiston, Oregon, in 1987 where he has lived since. Ermin had a very loving and giving nature. He enjoyed fishing, reading, music, movies, and sports.

He is survived by his brothers: Richard Godinez, Hermiston, Ore., and Dario Godinez, Yakima, Wash.; sisters: Christina Johnson, Redmond, Ore., Lauren Leaton, Hermiston, Ore., Evelyn Dubisar, Prineville, Ore., Alicia Godinez, Hermiston, Ore., and Vivian Sullivan, Hermiston, Ore.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ermin was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
