PASCO Deployed troop members will be the recipients of care packages sent through the efforts of the Mid-Columbia Make a Difference Day. Anyone with a loved one who will be deployed beyond Nov. 1 is asked to submit their information at www.midcolumbiamadd.com.

Mid-Columbia Make a Difference Day Committee, in partnership with the team from UStroopcarepackage.com and the Columbia Basin Veterans Coalition, will be assembling and shipping as many as 500 care packages to deployed troops from our community.     

 The event is Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 4525 Convention Place, located next to the TRAC in Pasco. Volunteers are needed to assist in assembling care packages. There will be opportunities for kids to participate as well. Families, civic, and corporate groups are all welcome to help. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
