Baker City soldier killed in Afghanistan

BAKER?CITY (AP) A soldier from Baker City was one of two American killed Monday in Afghanistan by an Afghan soldier.
Officials say the Afghan soldier accidentally fired his weapon when he fell during an insurgent attack.
The Oregon Military Department said 21-year-old Spc. Mabry J. Anders was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division based in Fort Carson, Colo.
The other soldier killed was 25-year-old Sgt. Christopher J. Birdwell of Windsor, Colo.
