Not only was a Heppner youth’s rooster a grand champion but the owner, himself is a champ. Tim Gould received grand champion for his rooster, Elvis. The 13-year-old then decided to donate proceeds from the Morrow County Livestock Auction to help the Correa family, who is dealing with cancer.
Elvis fetched a bid of $2,350. An additional $75 was raised for the family when Tim donated eggs for a fundraiser.
Referred to as a chicken farmer with wings, the young man has already raised more than 120 chickens. For more information, search Facebook for Gould Family Farm.
