Energy Secretary Steven Chu will visit Hanford from June 14-15, the Department of Energy announced this afternoon.

He will meet with Hanford employees to discuss a strong safety culture, as he told the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board he would do.

He is coming to share his expectations and hear employee perspectives and concerns on the safety culture, said Carrie Meyer, DOE spokeswoman.

Hell hold meetings with large and small groups of employees and also meet briefly with the media.
