KANSAS?CITY? L.J. Jenkins rode into the winners circle at Kansas City, the 13th stop on the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough Series tour. The bull rider from Texico, N.M., tallied 268.75 points over four rounds to win $43,650.

It was a great weekend, he said. I had two really good bulls and I had a little mishap in the third round and was thrown off a bull I should have rode.

In the short round, Jenkins drafted REMF Gunpowder and Lead, looking for a little revenge after getting bucked off that bull last week.

He cost me the event title last weekend and I dang-sure wanted him back, he said.

Jenkins took advantage of his rematch by turning in a score of 91.5 points to give him the win in Kansas City.

Its great,?he said. It was only a week ago and the fuel was still in the fire and I was still pretty fired up about it and I wanted a rematch.

The win moves Jenkins from seventh to fifth in this weeks PBR World Standings.

I have been fortunate to remain healthy throughout all of this and I am in the top 10, so Ive just got to keep leaning forward and taking it one bull at a time, he said.

Jenkins hopes to stay healthy in this rough and tumble sport of bull riding, which he says is key to everyones success on the tour.

The health is good, just a few bumps and bruises along the way, so its been good.

Fabiano Vieira was second in Kansas City. He turned in a score of 260.5 points, while Marco Eguche and Douglas Duncan tied for third at 176.5 points. Stormy Wing rounded out the top five with a score of 174.5 points.

J.B. Mauney is back at No. 1 in the world standings, despite only competing in round one. He rode for 90 points to win the round, but had his hand stepped on while coming off the bull. He could miss four to six weeks with a broken ring finger that may need surgery.

The PBR is taking Easter weekend off before returning next week at Indianapolis.

PRCA:?Brian Bain of Culver topped the field in bareback riding to win the national title at the PRCAs 2012 Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City.

Bain was the first man to ride in the finals, and turned in 86 points on Andrews Rodeos PTSD Power Play.

Rodeo is a humbling sport. Kaycee (Feild) has been beating us all winter long, and today I got lucky and it was my day where I had a chance to win, Bain said. Next week it could be different, but this helps my confidence and Im happy with where I am right now.

The other competitors who were crowned national champions Sunday were team ropers Spencer Mitchell and Brady Minor (3.7 seconds), saddle bronc rider Sam Spreadborough (84 points), calf roper Matt Shiozawa (7.7 seconds), steer wrestler Clay Cown (3.6 seconds), barrel racer Brittany Pozzi (15.07 seconds) and bull rider Bobby Welsh (83 points).

Cowan also was named the all-around winner as the contestant who won the most money.

The Wilderness Circuit took home the team title with a total of $84,733, its fourth win in the last six years. The California Circuit was second with $66,794, and 2011 champion Columbia River checked in third with $57,969.
