PENDLETON Silversmiths Zan and Patience Traughber of Pendleton have created a premier line of belt buckles for Stetson, the iconic maker of Western goods announced this week.

The Traughbers own and operate ZPT Silver, 72316 Quill Point, Pendleton. Stetsons tapped the Traughbers and just two more silversmiths to create one-of-a-kind belt buckle designs.

Additionally, Stetsons main buckle collection for 2012 features three styles based on those unique designs. Stetsons news release said the designers will receive a commission on each buckle sold.

The Traughbers and other artists also were inducted into the Stetson Craftsmans Alliance on Dec. 16, 2011, in San Antonio, Texas. Stetson created the alliance in 2010 to recognize excellence in art and craftsmanship. The company gave each artist a Stetson hat and a certificate of induction.
