A Hermiston woman at 2:52 a.m. reported someone broke out the window from the drivers side of her van and stole items from the pickup in the 300 block of East Cherry Avenue.

Hermiston police at 5:11 a.m. received a report that a black male, unknown clothing, may have been trying to break into a house in the 1600 block of West Johanna Avenue.

Pendleton Grain Growers. 4600 McKennon Road, Pendleton, at 7:04 a.m. reported a burglary and a missing air conditioner.

A Hermiston resident at 9:10 a.m. reported the theft of $550 of hay from Lewis Road, Hermiston.

A Hermiston man at 3:09 p.m. reported a burglary at his residence on Northwest Livestock Road and the theft of a shotgun, rifle, .357-caliber handgun, flat-screen TV and other items.

An employee of Dyers Pet Store, 155 E. Hurlburt Ave., at 5:55 p.m. reported the theft of a $150 ferret. She also said she may have the name of a suspect.

An irrigon woman at 10:12 p.m. reported the theft of a TV and safe from her residence in the 700 block of Southwest Third Street.

Milton-Freewater police arrested Dana Randy Franklin, 48, of 1324 College St., Milton-Freewater, for possession of wildlife as evidence of illegal taking, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and second-degree criminal mischief.
