Donna ‘Corbett’ Smith

PENDLETON Donna Corbett Smith, 83, of Pendleton died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at her home. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, May 14 at 2 p.m. at the Pilot Rock Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pendleton.

Ms. Smith was born Jan. 17, 1928, in Heglar, Idaho, to Frank and Stella (Osborn) Harvey. She was a high school graduate. She moved to Umatilla County in 1969, and married Victor Henry Corbett in Pilot Rock.

She worked as a cook for the Battle Mountain Cafe in Ukiah, the Harris Drive-In in Pilot Rock and the Youth Camp in Seneca.

Survivors include son Gary Wayne Zick of John Day; daughters Waltra Lindhorst of Pendleton and Shirley Irene Liles and Dixie Lea Cassidy, both of Pilot Rock; sisters Marian Gosch of Sheridan, Wyo., and Ilena Walker of Post Falls, Idaho; brothers John Barton of Sacramento, Calif., and Horace Harve of Montana; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Victor Corbett in 1988; son Franklyn Zick in 2001; and nine brothers and sisters.
