Leisa Deschaine

WALLA WALLA Leisa Deschaine, 53, of Milton-Freewater died Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home. A potluck dinner for family and friends will follow at the M-F Junior Show Grounds immediately after memorial service.

Mrs. Deschaine was born June 14, 1957, in Ontario, Calif., to Edward R. and Barbara J. Poulson Goodwin. She moved with her family to Texas for a time before moving to Walla Walla at the age of 10. The family later moved to Dixie, Wash., where she attended grade school, and then graduated from Waitsburg High School. 

After her graduation she worked at K-Mart, D&K Frozen Foods, Rogers Walla Walla Cannery and Griggs Department Store. In 1983 she married Lee Deschaine in Milton-Freewater. While she was raising her family, she did babysitting in her home.

Mrs. Deschaine is survived by her husband Lee Deschaine at the home; son Lee Deschaine of Milton-Freewater; daughter Crystal Deschaine of Milton-Freewater; sisters Kathie Ann Goodwin and Barbara Juanita Goodwin, both of Kennewick, Wash.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog Skippy.
