A Hermiston resident on Joy Lane reported someone stole his 1999 Chevrolet Corsica. The man went to Stanfield police and said he loaned the vehicle to a friend, and then police arrested that friend for driving intoxicated. The friend, then, loaned the car to another person who took it so it wouldnt be towed. The man wasnt able to provide names of the other men or locations where the events happened.
Sounds messy
The Umatilla County Sheriffs Office received a report from the Oregon Department of Agriculture that a resident on Minnehaha Road in Hermiston has illegally buried three horses in the last three years. The ag department employee said he would be coming to Hermiston to follow up on the case.

Phone scammers interrupt night
A Pendleton woman reported in the morning that she received four phone calls during night from someone saying she had won $50 and 2 tickets to Hawaii. The caller wanted her credit card number, which she didnt give. The persistant scammers called four more times, the woman said, and she saved the caller identification information. The calls came from D.V.C. Offers at 914-339-5622.

Thief steals food vouchers
A Pendleton woman reported a thief broke into her car in the 1300 block of Southwest Second Street and stole her food vouchers and some change. She said the theft happened Tuesday, and she has contacted the local human services office about the theft, which required her to make a police report.
Family problems
A Pendleton woman called police at 12:55 p.m. to report her grandson had kicked in her garage door and wrote on the front door with blood. She asked police to come to her residence.
Are those for shopping?
A 19-year-old man with a pair of machetes got some attention Thursday afternoon at the Safeway in Pendleton. A manager called police at 1:52 p.m. to report the man had a pair of the broad, heavy knives. An officer responded. The manager asked the man to leave the store and the officer told him Its not a good idea to walk around with machetes.
Home break-in
A Milton-Freewater man called police at 2:13 p.m. to report someone entered his residence in the 200 block of North Main Street and took several electronic items.
Sure, that sounds perfectly reasonable
An employee at Dominos Pizza, 1211 S.W. Emigrant Ave., called police at 6:10 p.m. to report she had received an order for 200 large cheese pizzas and to charge a credit card for $950 beyond the total cost of the pizzas.
BUSTED
Hermiston police recently made the following arrests:
Alexander Christian Ringe, 21, 990 W. Juniper Ave., Hermiston, for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), careless driving and driving uninsured.
Thomas Boyd Erickson, 62, 1740 N.E. North Street, Hermiston: DUII.
Umatilla County Sheriffs Office on Thursday arrested Yolanda Guiterriz-Munoz, 32, no address provide, for felony domestic violence.
