A meeting tentatively has been set for Thursday night to iron out details of a land trade that could lead to construction of a city-state building in Pendleton. Mayor Mel Winter tentatively scheduled the meeting following discussion at Tuesday’s City Council meeting of ways in which the city could acquire the site of the Til Taylor tennis courts. The city would like to acquire the site in exchange for land of equal value. If the city could acquire the site, it then could negotiate with the state for a city-state building.
