Obituary: Rebecca R. Hartman

WALLA WALLA – Rebecca R. Hartman, 91 of Walla Walla died Sunday, July 18, 2010 ,at her home. No services are planned at this time. Disposition was by cremation.

Mrs. Hartman was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Dupree, S.D., to Hugh Sidney and Alice Henderson Walkup. She moved to Silverton with her family, where she was raised, and then later to Albany where she graduated from high school. Afterwards she attended college for a year.

In 1940 she married Douglas Bracher. They lived in Seaside for several years. They divorced in 1960. She moved to Salem in 1966 and in 1968 married Robert Charles Hartman. He passed away in 1981.

She worked at U.S. Bank, both in Seaside and at Ladd and Bush Branch in Salem as a secretary. She moved to Walla Walla in 2003 to be near her daughter.

Mrs. Hartman is survived by daughters Holly Gould of College Place, Wash., and Ada Lomnicky of Anaheim, Calif.; sons John Bracher of Portland and Bob Hartman of Albuquerque, N.M.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and

three great-great-grandchildren.

Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main St, Milton-Freewater was in charge of cremation services. Contributions may be made to the Walla Walla Community Hospice through the funeral home, 902 S. Main St., Milton-Freewater, OR 97862.
