A 50th anniversary celebration will be held July 24, 2010, for Donald F. and Linda L. (Royer) Callaway of LaPine. The party will be held from 1-5 p.m. at the VFW?Hall in Pendleton. The couple requests no gifts, and dress is casual. Refreshments will be served.
Don and Linda were married July 10, 1960, in Newberg. They have lived all over Oregon, including in Pendleton for 20 years, and moved to LaPine 14 years ago after their retirement.

Linda worked as a hairdresser and instructor until retirement; she now is the District 8 Chairman for LaPine, and enjoys needlepoint and quilting.
Don served in the Navy from 1959 to 1962, and then worked construction in Oregon, Washington and Idaho before he retired. He now enjoys helping his neighbors and an assortment of crafts.
The Callaways’ children are Laura Lee Buckley and husband Lane of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; Meladee L. McGee and husband Michael of Pendleton; and the late Dawn M. Callaway (1991). They are grandparents of seven and have one great-grandchild.
