Fuddruckers ice cream parlor is open limited hours beginning this weekend.

Bob Magid of Portland, owner of the new restaurant at 1619 N. First St., said the eatery will open in two weeks.

But to accommodate players at Fun Time Miniature Golf, situated behind Fuddruckers, he’s opening the restaurant’s ice cream parlor when Aaron’s Furniture, beside the golf course, is closed.

The 18-hole miniature golf course, featuring two waterfalls, has been open for several weeks, but players have had to obtain equipment and pay fees at the furniture store.

“We’re gradually taking over operation of the golf course in conjunction with the ice cream parlor beginning this weekend,” Magid said. “The operation will be shared with Aaron’s until evenings and Sundays, when Aaron’s isn’t open.”

The parlor, which features 16 flavors of hard ice cream, milkshakes and other cold treats, will be open for limited hours for the next two weeks until the rest of the business opens the last week of the month, Magid said.

He encouraged people to call 541-667-2222 for ice cream parlor hours.

Fuddruckers, based in Austin, Texas, boasts the “world’s greatest hamburgers” and features a wide variety of a la carte and full meal plates, including elk, buffalo and beef burgers, hot dogs, chicken, turkey and vegetarian sandwiches, plus salads and beverages.

The 6,800-square-foot building also includes a pub and a game-filled arcade.
