Portland commissioners voted unanimously (5-0) this morning to back the city’s pitch for Google’s fiber project.
Google — seeking to build support for community networks and open technologies — invited cities across the country to apply by March 26. At least five Oregon cities plan to apply: Portland, Hood River, Eugene, Gresham and Pendleton.
