Employment Department lists variety of jobs

Job seekers in the region had their pick of 108 jobs Friday through the Oregon Employment Department.
In addition to jobs available through private employment agencies, the state office listed 70 jobs available in the Hermiston-Boardman area, 35 in the Pendleton area and three in the Milton-Freewater area.

All three communities have openings for census takers. The 30-hour-per-week jobs pay $12 per hour.
In Pendleton, Bank of the West is looking for a financial services officer. The full-time job was posted Jan. 13 and is open until filled.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience and one to three years banking or related experience.
Meanwhile, Wells Fargo has a full-time teller position open. The bank posted the job Tuesday. It will remain open until filled.
Applicants must have at least one year of experience interacting with people or customers.
Also in Pendleton, Assured Quality Homecare Inc. is looking for a part-time caregiver. The 20-hour-per-week job was posted Jan. 11 and is open until filled.

The job involves light housekeeping, laundry, preparing meals, assisting with personal needs, assisting with medications as needed and working on range of motion if needed.
In Hermiston, the Best Western Hermiston Inn has an opening for a front desk clerk. The 30-hour-per-week job was listed Wednesday and is open until filled. It pays $8.40 per hour.
AmeriTitle is searching for an escrow assistant in Hermiston. The company posted the full-time job Jan. 20.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one to three years experience. The job involves providing administrative support services to an escrow officer or department.
The position pays $10-$14 per hour, depending on experience.
Umatilla Electric Cooperative has an opening for an information technology analyst. UEC posted the post Jan. 12. It’s open until filled.
It’s a full-time job and pays $40,000 to $55,000 per year.
The position requires a high school diploma and two years experience working on a network of at least 100 PCs, including hands-on installation and troubleshooting of desktops and laptops.
