MILTON-FREEWATER – Colleen Trumbull, 52, of Milton-Freewater died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at her home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home in Milton-Freewater.
Mrs. Trumbull was born Oct. 14, 1957, in Montevideo, Minn., to Floyd M. and Ardell M. Kurtzbein Collins. The family moved to Milton-Freewater in 1964, where she attended Ferndale Elementary School and graduated from McLoughlin Union High School. While in high school she was very active in gymnastics and enjoyed riding horseback.
For several years after high school she worked at her parents’ store, the Tik Tok Grocery. She then went to work for BurBee in the office and later moved to Yakima, Wash., where she became a salesperson. She most recently worked as a caregiver and started an adult foster home at her residence, Mountain Aire.
Mrs. Trumbull is survived by daughters Hannah Pumphrey and Jesseca Trumbull, both of Milton-Freewater, and Jordan Collins of Walla Walla; sons Nathan Trumbull of Walla Walla and Matthew Redwine of Milton-Freewater; brothers Michael Collins of Stanfield and William “Bill” Collins of Milton-Freewater; sister LeeAnn Rizzuti of Walla Walla; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Floyd in 2000, and her mother Ardell in 2002.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Walla Walla Community Hospice through the funeral home.
