Local insurance company buys Portland agency

PENDLETON – Bisnett Insurance of Pendleton has bought Berry Insurance Agency of Portland.
In a written statement, Roger Bisnett, owner and president of Bisnett Insurance, said the acquisition is “a very good fit” and means Berry Insurance and Bisnett Insurance clients have more resources and insurance companies available.

Berry agents, staff, management and two previous owners will continue with the merged organization at the Bisnett offices in Lake Oswego. Tim Berry, past vice president of Berry Insurance, will lead a well-established employee group benefits department also at Bisnett’s Lake Oswego office.
Roger and Linda Bisnett of Pendleton started their agency in 1980. Since then, the company has steadily growth in nine locations. Bisnett now has Oregon offices in Pendleton, Lake Oswego, Hood River, Milton-Freewater, John Day, Baker City and Medford, as well as in Ketchum-Sun Valley, Idaho and in Scottsdale, Ariz. The agency now employs more than 40 people, most of them full-time licensed agents.
