UMATILLA – Becky Jean Lee, 75, of Umatilla died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at her home with her children and grandchildren by her side. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8 at the Country Church on Diagonal Road in Hermiston. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hills Cemetery in Umatilla.

Mrs. Lee was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Anderson, Mo., to Edward and Naomi Webb. In 1950 she married Alvis Lee in Reno, Nev. She had six children, and devoted her life to them and her husband Alvis.

She worked as a lab technician for Diamond Fruit Growers in Hood River for 28 years. She retired and moved to Hermiston in 1976, where she was highly involved in church activities.

Survivors include son Eddie Lee of Umatilla; daughters Cindy Goss and Sandy Walton, both of Umatilla, Laquitta Smith of White Salmon, Wash., and Lavanda Watkins of Hermiston; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Naomi Webb; husband Alvis Lee; son Rodney Lee; sisters Ruby Bandura and Sammie Smith; and brothers Edward and Charles Webb.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
