State chiropractic associations merge

PORTLAND – The Chiropractic Association of Oregon and the Oregon Doctors of Chiropractic have merged to form the Oregon Chiropractic Association.

The merger will bring more than 1,500 chiropractors together. Former CAO President Donald Ferrante and former ODOC President Robert Taylor will serve as co-presidents for the new association. Jan Ferrante will serve as executive director.

The organization held its first event, Chiropractic Day, at the state Capitol in Salem on Thursday, and the association will hold its first winter convention Feb. 27- March 1 at the Embassy Suites Airport in Portland.

As part of the merger, the association will try to increase its membership.
