PENDLETON – Sue Bynum is Umatilla County’s real estate agent of the year.

Bynum, who works for Coldwell Banker Whitney and Associates, received the award at the Umatilla County Board of Realtors’ annual installation banquet Nov. 12 in Hermiston.

Bynum graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1990 from Oregon State University and in 1993 with a master’s degree in teaching from Eastern Oregon University. She worked for the Pendleton School District, teaching first and sixth grade for six years before staying at home with her children, Sophia and Draco until they were school age.

Bynum became a real estate agent in 2005. She is the chairwoman for Umatilla County Board of Realtors multiple listing service and the service advisory committee representative for the regional multiple listing service.

Bynum is married since 1993 to Robert Bynum of Pilot Rock, a long-time employee of Interpath Labs.
