The East Oregonian has been printing cartoons that ridicule the intelligence and Christian faith of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. One of the Sept. 30 cartoons was sexist, racist, and blasphemous, depicting Sarah Palin as a brainwashed religious fanatic delivered from demons in the name of Jesus by an African pastor to be deluded to claim she would solve the financial collapse of America. This disgusting cartoon would not be fit for the scummiest tabloid. Why would the East Oregonian lower itself to mock the faith of Christians that honor and revere the name of Jesus Christ our blessed Lord and Savior? I challenge the editors of the East Oregonian to answer this question.

The other cartoon illustrated Gov. Palin as a miniature puppet on a string in comparison the Sen. Joe Biden. Many local experts have cast Palin as a bimbo Barbie doll that doesn’t have the intelligence to string two sentences together without a teleprompter. The vice presidential debate must have been a shock for these local American government experts. The mother of five children actually debated for 90 minutes without missing one punch with one of the senior lawmaking insiders of the American government. Joe Biden represents a Congress that is violating the Constitution in an attempt to bail out the crooks. It is the Washington masterminds that have been deluded by greed and power to believe they can solve the financial collapse of America by printing and borrowing more money.

So how about a response from the EO? Why does this female, this mother of five, this woman of Christian faith in Jesus Christ, inspire such disdain and ridicule, especially from the editor (as evidenced by your cartoons) of our local newspaper? Has the EO done any research of Gov. Palin’s record? Are you aware that Governor Palin has the highest approval rating (80 percent) of any standing governor in America? No wonder the Washington insiders fear her. They saw what she did to the financial crooks in Alaska. This soccer mom would wreak havoc with the Great American Bailout of America’s crooks.

No more character insults with sorry cartoons that defame the Christian beliefs of Americans of biblical faith in God. In the midst of this grave threat to our freedom our nation needs to repent of our wicked ways and ask God’s forgiveness, not mock God’s providence and blessings on America.
