Miscellaneous?Pastor Rod Harwood, chaplain of St. Anthony Hospital, reported to Pendleton Police Friday morning he had received reports from several local churches of a man calling and soliciting funds for himself and a companion who is dying of AIDS. The man requested Harwood meet him at the hospital. Other local churches also contacted the police department to report solicitations from the same man.

?A Stanfield resident reported his vehicle stolen Thursday morning to the Stanfield Police Department. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office deputies found thr vehicle Thursday afternoon in the vicinity of Reith Road and “the cliffs” area. The vehicle has been burned in a fire.
