of coming events daily. All items are assumed free, nonprofit and open

to the public unless otherwise noted. Coming events items should be

THIS EVENING

CPR/AED CLASS,

6 p.m. at St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton. Registration is required and

will be taken up to the time of the class. For more information or to

sign up call Lori Weaver at 278-3233.

LAURA GIBSON IN CONCERT,

6 p.m. at Great Pacific, 403 S. Main St., Pendleton. No cover, no

minimum. All ages are welcome.

ROUND-UP CITY RACERS

REGISTRATION, 6-8 p.m. in the Gold Gym at Pendleton High

School for ages 5-12. First practice is at 5:30 p.m. April 1. Season

runs from April 1-May 10, with a total of six track meets.

FRIENDS OF OLNEY CEMETERY

MEETING, 7 p.m. at the office of Parks and Recreation, 865

Tutuilla Road, Pendleton. The group welcomes new members at its

meetings.

THURSDAY

LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR

FROSTBITE GOLF TOURNAMENT. The four-person scramble costs

$35 per person and includes 18 holes of golf, lunch and six raffle

tickets. Contact the Boardman Chamber of Commerce at 481-3014 to

register or more information. The event is March 29 at Willow Run Golf

Course, Boardman.

CLARA BROWNELL MIDDLE

SCHOOL ALOHA LUAU DINNER, 6-8 p.m. at Umatilla High

School. Help send seventh and eighth grade students to Washington, D.C.

for $5 a plate. Raffle tickets for a new barbecue will be sold during

the dinner.

SUNRIDGE SEVENTH/EIGHTH

GRADE INSTRUMENTAL CONCERT, 7:30 p.m. in the middle school

commons, Pendleton. Free and all are welcome.

FRIDAY

GOOD FRIDAY EASTER

CANTATA “THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD,” 7 p.m. at the

Hermiston Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at

the stake Center on the corner of Highland and 11th avenues. Cantata is

by Janice Kaapp Perry and Joy Saunders Lundberg and directed by RaNiel

Dunn. The public is welcome to attend.

FLASHLIGHT EASTER EGG HUNT,

2-5 years old at 7:45 p.m., 6-9 years old at 8:15 p.m. at Butte Park,

1245 N.W. Seventh St., Hermiston. Thousands of filled eggs will be

hidden. Each participant needs to bring a basket and a flashlight. No

charge. Sponsored by the Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department and

RSC Equipment.

SATURDAY

PETER RABBIT BREAKFAST,

7-10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 191 E. Gladys Ave.,

Hermiston. $5, but kids younger than 5 are free. Family event. For more

information, call Becky Hunt at 289-3340.

TILLICUM CLUB EASTER EGG

HUNT, 10 a.m. at the Boardman Marina Park. Four age groups

ranging from walking babies to fourth grade. Prizes for each group.

Eggs are filled with candy, some toys and some gift certificates from

local merchants.

FIFTH ANNUAL EASTER EGG

HUNT, 10 a.m. at New Hope Community Church, 1350 S.

Highway 395, Hermiston. Egg hunt, games, crafts, face painting, puppet

show, bouncers, petting zoo, magic show, food. Hot dogs, popcorn and

cotton candy will be served. Everyone is welcome.
