Regional FBLA winners announced

High school students from throughout Eastern Oregon braved the winter weather to head for Eastern Oregon University in La Grande for the Future Business Leaders of America Blue Mountain Conference regional skills competition.

Students who finished first through 10th in each competition will compete in Portland for the state conference.

Those qualifying to compete are Griswold High School’s Kaitlyn Muller, Katelyn Veith, Crystal McMurray, Meghan Schroeder and Chyanne Black. Pendleton High School students competing include Elliot Holdman, Kirsten Carman, Andrew Wilson, Molly Murry, McKennon Cimmiyotti, Harald Erickson, Charlie Holdman, Kacie Miltenberger, Brianna Conlon, Adam Charlton, Mitch Montchalin and Daniel Morrison. Russell Thompson Jr., of Condon, will represent his school. Representing Heppner High School will be Baillie Keithley and Ashley Wolff.

Some of the students are involved in more than one competition. In addition, some were first-place winners at district. They are Holdman in business communications; Wilson in business law; Wolff in introduction to business; and the PHS parliamentary procedure team of Cimmiyotti, Erickson, Holdman and Wilson.
